1. Who we are
PropertyBrain.uk is operated by the team behind PropertyAlert.uk. This policy explains how we collect and use data when you visit PropertyBrain.uk.
2. Data we collect
PropertyBrain.uk does not require you to create an account or provide personal information. We collect:
- Analytics data via Google Analytics 4 — pages visited, time on site, device type, approximate location (city level). This data is anonymised and aggregated.
- Cookie consent preference — stored in your browser's localStorage to remember your choice.
- Download events — when you download an Excel file, we log the event in GA4 (no personal data, just the file name and timestamp).
We do not collect: names, email addresses, property details you enter into calculators (all calculations run in your browser only — no data is sent to our servers).
3. Cookies
We use:
- Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) — analytics only, if you accept cookies
- Advertising cookies (Google AdSense) — used to show relevant adverts, if you accept cookies

4. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, and object to processing. As we collect minimal data and it is anonymous, most requests are automatically satisfied. Contact us via PropertyAlert.uk if you have concerns.
5. Third parties
We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) and Google AdSense. Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Data retention
GA4 data is retained for 14 months by default. We do not store personal data ourselves.
